beyond Twitter

but keep it roughly on board-topic ~ twitter, writing, etc

Nice. I had a hard time reading the first (very wavy, wasn't sure what order to read them in...then again...maybe that was intentional), but the second one worked well for me.

the waviness and order was intentional--though having trouble picking them out from the background was less so. :heh: still trying to figure out the "form".

Tried one of these #1picfic type things to good response thus far. http://bit.ly/PicFic

Made me start pondering monetization. Not so much for the author (content creator), but for the content distributor. I could see a $0.99 app being a possible way to monetize content like this (and maybe someone already is). Essentially, you have a daily picfic type story website / online 'zine you promote and hope to go viral (sell adspace here). And promote easy subscription / delivery via a $0.99 app (e.g. a site like lolcats or one of the other properties of the cheezeburger empire might be able to pull this off). Although, then I wonder if RSS feeds are already providing that free. Who knows...just some thoughts flowing from my brain. Time to get back to editing...

I put together a twitfic e-reader on a keychain - it turned out great. Check it out on this 12 second video:

I'd like to sell them as a sort of chapbook, a compilation of all my published twitfic with some bonus stories. I have no idea where to sell them though... any thoughts? Comments?
